“Let the children play”

A very common scene these days is family gatherings where each one is staring at a different screen, and someone is complaining about it. Not to mention, the typical conversations about the amount of hours kids “waste” at the computer or about  the ”addiction” of the youth with the mobiles, all taking this new generation away from the “real world”! Yes, we are all surprised, worried, overwhelmed by this new virtual world which has engulfed our children, and we feel ignorant, helpless, at the same time

< that extremely attracted and thrilled. All these different feelings and the speed of changes and novelties affecting our most basic daily affairs produce a feeling of uneasiness. We feel we have to guide our kids however we do not know much about this new, strange world. We suddenly find ourselves trying to protect our children, looking desperately for all the possible reasons to blame "these machines" for their potential dangers!

It is further irritating when we feel confused and caught in constant contradiction, having to recognize that our kids have entered a world where they are more connected, they constantly learn, they are actively playing and much more engaged. They tell us these amazing things they just saw, heard or did, and they tell a href=”http://www.achatdoudounepascher.fr”>http://www.achatdoudounepascher.fr us with passion.

On the other hand, we feel safe and sure about sending them everyday to school for 5-6 or 7 hours, making deaf ears when they reply to our usual question? “How was school today?” “Fine! As usual! Nothing new!” Conversation that becomes routine to both sides, who accept going to school as part of a daily habit. If everyone does, there must be a very important reason to do so!
